We’re Hiring: Security Officer

📍 Location: Bracknell, RG12 1EB
💰 Pay: £13.45 per hour
📅 Hours: 42 hours per week
🕒 Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Nights Only)
⏰ Shift Times: 17:15 - 05:15

As a Security Officer, you will provide a professional security service, protecting people, property, and assets while delivering exceptional customer service. Working at a leading global technology company, the Security Officer will help maintain a safe and secure environment that supports innovation across industries including energy, manufacturing, utilities, mining, life sciences, and infrastructure.

The Security Officer will operate in line with site procedures and customer requirements, conducting patrols, monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Successful candidates will demonstrate the core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness at all times. A valid SIA Licence is required before commencing operational duties.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Conduct regular security patrols and site inspections.
• Protect people, property, and assets from loss, damage, and unauthorised access.
• Monitor access points, alarms, CCTV, and security systems.
• Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
• Support emergency procedures, including evacuations and searches.
• Maintain accurate records, incident reports, and shift handovers.
• Ensure compliance with site procedures, regulations, and Assignment Instructions.
• Deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Uphold the core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness at all times.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• A valid SIA Licence or willingness to obtain one.
• The right to work in the UK.
• A 5-year checkable employment history, including any periods of employment, self-employment, education, or unemployment.
• No unspent criminal convictions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• A professional, reliable, and punctual approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to the values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness.
• Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including days, nights, and weekends.
• Must be over 18 years of age.

Desirable:

• Previous experience as a Security Officer.
• A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
• A valid First Aid qualification.
