What you'll do
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and Legal to review non-standard contract terms and identify revenue recognition impacts.
- Review and interpret customer contracts to determine appropriate revenue treatment, billing terms, and accounting implications.
- Execute on the monthly revenue close process, ensuring timely and accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
- Partner with FP&A on revenue forecasting and planning.
- Maintain and improve revenue accounting policies, internal controls, and documentation.
- Drive month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Prepare additional analysis and insights on an as-needed basis for leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate annual audits and provide supporting documentation for revenue and receivables.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and increase operational efficiency within the Order-to-Cash cycle, and take ownership of assigned improvement projects through completion.
- Collaborate with Finance leadership on system implementations, process improvements, and scalability initiatives.
