Senior Accounting Expert / Accountant (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

• You will independently and autonomously prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for partnerships and limited companies within the Freudenberg Group
• You will be responsible for the complete and accurate recording of all day-to-day business transactions, as well as for clarifying accounting issues in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and IFRS
• You will be the General Ledger key user: the technical point of contact for IT regarding system maintenance, review and further development of SAP processes relevant to accounting
• You will maintain the chart of accounts and balance sheet tables (SAP FI-GL module) as well as interfaces to the Freudenberg Group reporting system
• You will prepare the monthly VAT returns
• Preparing ad hoc analyses and meeting internal and external deadlines are second nature to you
• You enjoy contributing to projects in the field of finance and accounting

Qualifications:

• You have successfully completed a commercial apprenticeship with further training as an accountant, or a degree with a focus on finance and business administration
• You have several years’ professional experience in financial accounting and the preparation of annual accounts in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• You are distinguished by your in-depth knowledge of HGB and IFRS accounting standards
• You have very good knowledge of the SAP FI-GL module (experience with SAP S/4Hana is desirable) and are proficient in using the MS Office suite, particularly Excel
• Your working language is German (at least C1 level) and you have a good command of written and spoken English (at least B2 level)
• Your strong aptitude for numbers, structured and analytical approach to work, and excellent teamwork skills are key strengths
• Your sense of responsibility, commitment, reliability and discretion round off your profile
