  • Management of supplier relationships: Strengthen relationships with suppliers, identify areas where they have gaps with respect to Dell requirements, and collaborate to close the gaps
  • Sourcing: Collaborating with Product Group, Supply Chain Managers, and Front-End teams in development of the sourcing goals, RFQ packages, analysis of packages, preparation, and execution of negotiations, and drawing recommendations on the Business Awards
  • Cost management: Align on aggressive yet reasonable cost targets, understand gaps, develop actions to close the gaps, provide timely outlooks on risks and opportunities, and collaborate with Financial Controllers and other peers
  • Development and deployment of cost management and sourcing toolkits: Understand current toolkits, enhance the toolkits, and deploy the toolkits in sourcing and cost management activities
  • Development and rollout of best-in-class processes: Identify gaps in sourcing or cost management processes or practices, develop proposals, align, and rollout enhancements
  • Collaborate internationally: As the role covers stakeholders at various time zones, successful candidates should be prepared to maintain healthy work-life balance while being able to engage stakeholders based in the US and other parts of Asia

  • Developed a strong ability to develop strong supplier as well as internal relationships
  • Confident in cost modeling one or more of the following areas: Mechanical stamping of stainless-steel parts, injection molding of plastic parts, PCBAs, manufacturing or other adders, including being able to analyze market trends of input factors and utilizing that to model costs
  • Developed spikes in various cost management techniques and able to apply to sourcing or cost management activities

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain
  • More than 2 years’ experience in sourcing and cost management in the areas of Networking, Computing or Consumer electronics
  • Highly familiar with ODM or CM environments

What you’ll achieve
