Senior Associate-Snowflake Data Engineer

Job Purpose 

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, dbt, and Apache Airflow. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing data pipelines, implementing scalable data transformation frameworks, and supporting data warehouse modernization initiatives. Experience in legacy-to-Snowflake migration projects is highly desirable. 

Desired Skills and experience 

Snowflake Data Engineer 

• 5-8 years of experience in Snowflake Data Engineering and Data Warehousing. 

• Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake. 

• Hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation and modeling. 

• Proven experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and scheduling. 

• Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills. 

• Solid understanding of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and ELT architecture. 

• Experience with Git-based version control systems. 

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

Key Responsibilities 

Role & Responsibilities 

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, and Airflow. 

• Build and optimize ELT workflows for large-scale data processing. 

• Develop and manage dbt models, tests, and documentation following industry best practices. 

• Create and maintain Airflow DAGs for orchestration, scheduling, monitoring, and dependency management. 

• Design and manage Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, tasks, and stored procedures. 

• Enhance Snowflake performance through query tuning and optimization techniques. 

• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to gather and implement data requirements. 

• Implement data quality, validation, and governance frameworks. 

• Contribute to data warehouse modernization and migration programs. 

• Investigate and resolve issues related to data pipelines and Snowflake environments.
