What you'll do

  • Own brand design across all touchpoints - website, social, ads, guides, reports, events and swag - keeping quality and consistency high through a busy launch and campaign calendar.
  • Design and roll out launch creative for product launches, including launch video animation and campaign assets, partnering with Product Designers on product-screen work.
  • Lead the design for our events programme, including our flagship conference SEV0 - booths, banners, printed collateral, swag and the event design system.
  • Be an advocate for consistency and craft as we scale and grow the incident.io brand.
  • Partner with the marketing team on both tactical and long-term projects, while bringing your own perspective on how we should develop our brand.
  • Collaborate with the wider design team as we know an amazing product is the foundation for a great brand, and compelling design can be the foundation for both.

What they're looking for

  • A portfolio showcasing exceptional brand and marketing design work, with proven experience creating high-impact, exciting websites, LinkedIn campaigns, guides, and presentations, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong proficiency in digital design using Figma, with experience in print using Adobe products. We want everything we put out in the world - from compelling swag, to tight one-pagers event materials - to be well crafted and as good as it can be.
  • Experience working closely with frontend engineers to translate your designs into reality, sweating the details and getting hands on to tweak the HTML/CSS where required
  • A highly collaborative mindset demonstrated through proactive sharing of work-in-progress designs, and thoughtful incorporation of feedback.
  • An organised, pragmatic streak since startups can (occasionally!) be chaotic. You’re able to figure things out when faced with ambiguity.
  • Comfort picking up an established brand and extending it with judgement, rather than needing to rebuild from first principles. This is the main difference from the original Brand Designer brief.

Nice to have

  • You have experience with motion design / animation
  • You have experience designing booths and installations for conferences and events
  • You've covered a role on an FTC or contract basis before and know how to get productive fast

Full description from employer

A little about us

incident.io is the AI software reliability platform trusted by engineering teams at Netflix, Etsy, and 2,000+ companies who can't afford downtime.

The stakes are real, the talent is insane, and somehow it's a genuinely lovely place to work. We all pull our weight, go the extra mile, and put in the bit of magic most companies don't have time for, all while having fun and never taking ourselves too seriously.

We've raised $96 million from Index Ventures, Insight Partners, and Point Nine, and we're growing fast. There's never been a better time to join.

The Team

We're looking for a Brand Designer with solid experience in a B2B setting to join us on a fixed-term basis, covering maternity leave for just over a year.

This isn't a holding-pattern role. Our brand design function was built from scratch over the last two years and the foundations are strong - a visual identity, an events design system, SEV0, a rolling drumbeat of launches and campaigns. You'll take that and run it, across our website, social, events, launches and our flagship conference. Where you see something that should be better, you'll be trusted to make it better.

You'll sit day-to-day in Marketing and be part of the wider Design team, alongside experienced Product Designers who'll be on hand to partner on web-native work.

Supporting you

We work hard and we think life outside work matters just as much. Our benefits pack is built to support both.

  • Private medical insurance. Seriously good cover - we want you and the people you love to be looked after.

  • Competitive annual leave. Showing up at your best requires switching off, and we make sure you have time to do that.

  • First Friday of every month off. Yes, seriously.

  • Enhanced pension. We put real money in, because future-you deserves better than an afterthought.

  • Meaningful equity. We're rapidly scaling, and everyone who helps shape the outcome should share in it.

  • Unlimited AI spend. For everyone, not just engineers. We're all-in on AI across the company, and we expect you to be too.

  • Generous parental leave. The early days with a new baby matter more than anything we're doing here, and we want you to be present for them.

  • Two budgets that have your back. £1000 to invest in your setup, £500 a year to invest in yourself.
