Senior Commercial Lawyer

Known for delivering expert, commercially-minded advice to businesses across the real estate, mortgage broking and hospitality industries, the firm has built its reputation on long-standing client relationships and a genuine, down-to-earth approach to complex legal problems.

With a close-knit team of 15 led by two partners, this is a senior leadership and delivery role for an accomplished commercial and disputes lawyer who enjoys solving complex problems, managing high-quality work and developing talented lawyers.

What you'll do:

• Lead and oversee a broad range of commercial matters
• Provide strategic and commercially practical advice to established businesses and business owners
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements
• Supervise, mentor and support lawyers within the team
• Manage workflows and maintain consistently high standards of service
• Work closely with the firm's partners on complex and significant matters
• Help strengthen the team's technical capability, systems and processes
• Build trusted, long-term relationships with existing clients
• Contribute to the continued growth and development of the firm

What we're looking for:

• A highly experienced commercial lawyer with the technical ability, commercial judgment and leadership qualities expected at partner level
• Significant experience in commercial and corporate law
• Strong drafting, negotiation and advisory skills
• Experience managing complex matters with a high degree of autonomy
• The ability to supervise, mentor and develop other lawyers
• A practical, solutions-focused approach
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Excellent judgment, attention to detail and commercial awareness
• A collaborative leadership style and genuine commitment to team success
