Senior Commercial Litigation Solicitor Belfast £38,000-£48,000 plus development pathway Signatus are working with a progressive, forward-thinking law firm who wish to recruit a Senior Commercial Litigation Solicitor, into their well-established Belfast team. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, entrepreneurial lawyer to come into the Commercial Litigation department and assume a lot of responsibility from the outset, ultimately shaping the growth and development of this lucrative practice area for the firm. The Opportunity in this role is fantastic for a solicitor who wants to take on a body of work and apply themselves to growing out a practice area for a firm with a fantastic reputation, and solid referral streams already in place. Your development path goes directly to the Head of Commercial Litigation/Director and you will work directly with the firm's partners in strategising for growth. Your new role The Senior Commercial litigation solicitor will have conduct of and develop a large caseload of private fee-paying and commercial litigation clients. In a largely autonomous position but reporting into a Senior Partner, you will be exposed to a breadth of litigation matters for small business clients including; Debt recovery, insolvency, contractual disputes, Media & Entertainment law,  banking, property/construction disputes as well as miscellaneous business-related litigation. Your caseload will consist of a blend of County Court and High Court matters therefore strong knowledge of procedural rules and practice directions are expected. All about you You will be a qualified solicitor with ideally between 5-8 years PQE and solid experience handling a range of commercial litigation matters. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to delivering a high standard of service and have a high degree of personal integrity, commitment to fairness, diversity and equality. You will possess the ability to inspire and motivate colleagues and demonstrate leadership to junior staff members. A willingness to participate in business development events (sometimes outside of normal office hours but not frequently), as well as a continual interest in raising the firm’s profile, to generate new business opportunities, should also be demonstrated.
