Senior Consultant, Banking & Capital Markets - Germany

Masentó have been exclusively engaged by a prestigious Big 4 consultancy to identify talent for a growing Banking & Capital Markets practice. The Financial Services division focuses on supporting banks, insurance companies, and asset managers in achieving success in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a member of the Banking & Capital Markets Consulting team, based in Berlin, Cologne, Frankfurt/Main, Munich, Düsseldorf, Stuttgart, or Hamburg, the candidate contributes to shaping the financial world of tomorrow. Responsibilities include: Analysing and structuring capital market processes, defining use cases, target operating models, and IT architectures for implementing modern trading and settlement structures Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of experts on strategy, products, processes, regulatory topics (including EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR, MMSR), and IT transformations in the capital markets sector Providing technical support for the introduction, upgrade, or consolidation of trading and settlement systems Optimizing existing business processes and IT applications, as well as developing new ones—particularly in areas such as post-merger integration, market data optimization, and clearing & collateral Structuring and independently managing work packages within project teams and presenting results to clients Required Qualifications and Skills: A degree in business administration, economics, business informatics, industrial engineering, mathematics, physics, or a comparable field Strong analytical skills, a technical affinity, and a solid understanding of capital markets and their impact on financial operations and business processes Ideally, initial experience in a bank, consultancy, or fintech environment related to regulatory frameworks such as EMIR, MiFIR, SFTR, or MMSR A high level of responsibility and excellent communication skills in both German and English Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
