What you'll do
- Shape and improve the AI Data Enablement process, making it easier and faster for AI teams to discover, access and use trusted data.
- Gather and translate requirements across data access, data platforms and integration into clear, actionable solutions.
- Help define and deliver reusable data products, with a focus on data discovery, quality, governance and risk.
- Partner with business, Data, AI/ML, Technology and Risk teams to align requirements and drive delivery.
- Define and manage scope, priorities, dependencies and timelines, proactively identifying and resolving delivery blockers.
- For Senior hires, lead complex workstreams and help shape the roadmap and target-state data enablement approach.

About This Job
The Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role in supporting a banking Data for AI programme. You will work across business, data and technology teams to assess current data practices, identify gaps and bottlenecks, and translate findings into practical requirements and improvements.
The ideal candidate combines banking/financial services experience, strong business analysis skills and hands-on data governance/data management knowledge.
What You’ll Do
- Assess current-state data governance, ownership, stewardship, access, controls and data processes.
- Work across AI/data use cases to understand data requirements, sources, flows, access and consumption.
- Lead stakeholder interviews and workshops with business, data and technology teams.
- Map processes and data flows and identify gaps, bottlenecks, manual effort and unclear accountability.
- Translate findings into clear business/data requirements, target-state improvements and reusable governance patterns.
- Identify recurring enterprise data issues versus use-case-specific challenges.
- Engage and constructively challenge senior stakeholders and SMEs.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or related field
- 5+ years of Business Analyst with experience in data, AI/analytics, or technology transformation.
- Strong Business Analyst and consulting experience within banking or financial services.
- Practical experience in data governance, data management, data strategy or data transformation.
- Knowledge of data ownership/stewardship, metadata, data catalogue, business glossary, lineage, data quality, data access/controls and data products.
- Strong requirements gathering, process mapping, workshop facilitation and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to AI/ML, GenAI or AI Data Enablement initiatives is highly desirable.
- Ability to turn complex findings into clear gaps, implications and actionable requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management across business, data and technology.
- Exposure to AI, analytics, data products or modern data platforms is a plus.
- DAMA-DMBOK / DCAM knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
- Hong Kong or Singapore banking experience preferred.
Eligibility to Work in Singapore
Applicants must have unrestricted working rights in Singapore. Only Singapore Citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) will be considered. Employment Pass sponsorship is not available for this role.
