  • Conduct requirement gathering, business analysis and any data architecture activities with the data governance & quality programs.
  • Lead the review and sign-off of data protection language in all new contracts.
  • Lead the data protection reviews for Technical Work Assessment and Operational Readiness Board reviews for new products/projects
  • Participate in the data maturity assessment sessions and gap analysis.
  • Participate in alignment with EA teams and data strategy across the organization.
  • Coordinate with the project teams and others to ensure that data standards and models align with the overall enterprise architecture and applicable standards.
  • Develop a strong working relationship with the appropriate business users and provide business-impact-driven analysis and communicate results to stakeholders.

About The Position

  • Design & implement the data governance & quality framework, operating model and roles & responsibilities.
  • Drive the business understanding of the data flows and their dependencies and ensure that data quality and governance is a priority for the business
  • Create and maintain functional Information Asset Registers and identify a community of Data Owners, Stewards and Custodians
  • Maintain Data Standards and Policies and assuring that data standards / policies are being followed

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining Data Standards and Policies and assuring that data standards / policies are being followed
  • Coaches less experienced co-workers and provides feedback to enhance skills and knowledge

Qualifications - Senior Data Governance Analyst

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in mathematics, statistics, computer science or business
  • 5+ years of relevant experience

Qualifications - Lead Data Governance Analyst

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in mathematics, statistics, computer science or business
  • 7+ years of relevant experience

In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong record of implementation  for data governance & quality projects and establishing DGOs (Data Governance Office)
  • Extensive experience developing detailed data governance workflows, operating models, and organizational structures.
  • Strong experience in identifying and mapping Data Flows
  • Extensive knowledge in data Governance & quality policies, standards, procedures, and metrics.
  • Experienced in data maturity assessment models and methodologies.
  • Expert in Meta-data management (Data Classifications, Glossary, and data lineage) 
  • Good understanding of data governance and data quality and metadata management tools like Informatica and Collibra
  • Ability to organize and deliver trainings to the data governance established offices and client teams.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of privacy laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of agile and project methodologies and processes
  • Great communication skills with the clients as a consultant and with the team as a coach and monitor.

Ameren’s selection process includes a series of interviews and may include a leadership assessment process.  Specific details will be provided to qualified candidates.

Compensation Range:

$88,500.00 - $172,200.00

* This pay range encompasses multiple levels of the role. Career level and compensation depends upon applicant’s credentials.

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
