- Deliver governance artefacts in line with key directives and legislation, including QGEA, the Information Privacy Act 2009 (Qld), IS18, and IS33.
- Partner with information owners, system owners, and subject matter experts to gather requirements, understand business contexts, and translate them into usable outputs.
- Enable capability maturity uplift by creating executive materials, practical guidance content, and handover documentation to support ongoing compliance.

Role: Senior Data Governance & Privacy Specialist
Client: Queensland Government Department
Contract Until: March 2027 with potential of extension
Office Location: Brisbane CBD with WFH flexibility
Weekly Hours: 36.25 Hours per Week
Maximum Pay Rate: $103.19 an hour + super (maximum annual equivalent $194,513 a year + super)
Role Overview:
Are you looking to shape trusted, well-managed, and responsibly used data while driving practical governance and privacy initiatives? This delivery-focused role will see you leading hands-on data and open data governance work, conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and translating policy obligations into clear, usable practices. Working closely with key stakeholders, you will develop practical governance artefacts that build confidence, support compliance, and uplift organisational capability.
