Full description from employer

Brainlabs is the independent, founder-led agency building the future of media. We have over 1000 Brainlabbers based across the global, all united through the 12 principles laid out in our Culture Code. We're full-service, with people and AI agents working side by side, all aligned to one thing: maximizing our clients' revenue through a genuinely scientific approach to media. If you want to help play your part in achieving this for the world's biggest brands in an environment that will support and challenge you in equal measure, this is where you do it.

As a Senior Data Strategy Specialist at Brainlabs, you will lead complex data projects that bridge analytics execution and strategic consulting. You'll scope and manage multi-workstream initiatives, design measurement frameworks, and deliver actionable insights that shape client business outcomes. This role requires equal parts technical depth and strategic vision—you'll mentor team members, design end-to-end data solutions, and act as a trusted advisor to clients on their data maturity journey.

In this role you will:

  • Scope, plan, and deliver end-to-end analytics and strategy projects, managing timelines, RACI, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Lead the strategic design of data solutions—including reports, dashboards, and analytical frameworks—gathering requirements, creating briefs and wireframes to ensure outputs are insightful and user-friendly
  • Design and implement KPI frameworks and measurement plans that align with client business objectives across the full marketing funnel
  • Own complex, ad-hoc analyses that answer ambiguous client questions, delivering clear and actionable business insights
  • Apply advanced data science techniques, including machine learning, regression analysis, and experimentation design for data driven decision making.
  • Translate complex data and analytical outputs into compelling narratives that are understandable and actionable for day-to-day client stakeholders
  • Act as a reliable point of contact for strategic data questions, managing project timelines and keeping stakeholders informed
  • Mentor and coach junior analysts and specialists, run training sessions, and support their growth and skill development
  • Contribute to the team's knowledge base by sharing expertise, best practices, and innovative approaches
  • Understand and contribute to commercial health, identifying growth opportunities and supporting scoping and pre-sales activities
  • Proactively identify and deliver insights and strategic recommendations that go beyond reporting to drive measurable business value

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 4-7 years of experience in data analytics, data strategy, business intelligence, or management consulting
  • Demonstrates deep expertise in SQL, Python or R, and modern analytics tools (Looker, BigQuery, Tableau, Power BI)
  • Has proven experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder data projects from conception to delivery
  • Possesses strong data science fundamentals, including experience with ML models, statistical testing, and experimentation frameworks
  • Can design measurement strategies and KPI frameworks tied to business outcomes
  • Excels at translating ambiguous business problems into structured analytical approaches
  • Has experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
  • Understands digital marketing analytics, attribution, media measurement, or martech/adtech ecosystems (preferred)
  • Is a confident communicator who can present to clients and lead strategic conversations

And this is what success looks like in the role:

  • You successfully deliver complex projects on time and within scope, with clear stakeholder alignment throughout
  • Your strategic recommendations and measurement frameworks directly influence client business decisions and outcomes
  • Clients view you as a trusted advisor who deeply understands their business and data landscape
  • You actively develop the skills and careers of team members under your mentorship
  • You drive innovation through reusable frameworks, templates, and process improvements that benefit the broader team
  • You maintain high client satisfaction
