Senior Design Manager - Onshore Wind

The Opportunity

As a Senior Design Manager – Onshore Wind, you'll combine renewable energy delivery expertise, technical leadership and client engagement to lead projects from early-stage development through design, procurement, construction and commissioning.

You'll help clients make informed investment decisions, navigate project challenges and deliver successful outcomes that contribute to the ongoing energy transition across the region.

This is an opportunity to lead complex projects, mentor emerging talent and contribute to the continued growth of Beca's renewable energy capability.

We are open to candidates based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane and offer flexibility to support the right person joining our expanding renewables team.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading the design and delivery of onshore wind projects from development through to construction and commissioning.

• Applying practical delivery and constructability expertise to support project planning, risk management and investment decision-making.

• Coordinating multidisciplinary teams across civil, electrical, geotechnical, environmental and grid disciplines to deliver integrated project outcomes.

• Building trusted client relationships and contributing to project governance, commercial performance and key project decisions.

• Mentoring team members and supporting proposals, pursuits and the continued growth of Beca's renewable energy capability.

About You

You have experience delivering major wind or renewable energy projects and understand the practical realities of taking projects from development through to construction and commissioning. You enjoy leading multidisciplinary teams, solving complex challenges and building trusted relationships with clients and stakeholders.

You Will Bring:

• A degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering, with CPEng and relevant registrations (RPEQ, RPEV or equivalent).

• Experience delivering large-scale wind, renewable energy projects through design, construction and commissioning.

• Strong understanding of project delivery, constructability, risk management and stakeholder engagement.

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating complex technical inputs.

• Well-developed communication skills and the ability to build trusted client relationships.

• Commercial awareness and experience contributing to project pursuits, proposals or advisory work.

• A collaborative leadership style with a passion for developing and mentoring others.
