Full description from employer

Are you a DevOps Engineer who thrives on building the systems and pipelines that enable great software to ship reliably and at scale? Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you.

We are looking for innovative, entrepreneurial engineers who are passionate about their craft and committed to continuous improvement. Based in Austin, Texas, you will join a collaborative, diverse community and work as an integral member of a cross-functional Agile team focused on the development and delivery of Emerson's PACSystems technologies.

PACSystems is trusted by leading companies across discrete and hybrid manufacturing industries to safely and reliably control critical processes. In this role, you will be the engine behind the development pipeline — designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure, automation, and tooling that allow our engineering teams to deliver high-quality industrial software with speed and confidence.

Our team embraces modern development practices, including AI-assisted and spec-driven development methodologies. You will play a central role in enabling those practices at scale. Building the pipelines, environments, and automation that make them possible. We are actively investing in these approaches and are looking for engineers who are energized by what intelligent tooling and well-designed DevOps practices can unlock for a software organization.

You will be part of an organization led by leaders who are deeply committed to technical excellence, Agile principles, and building an environment where engineers do their best work. • Tech Savvy - Stay current on emerging DevOps tooling, cloud-native practices, AI-enabled automation, and platform engineering trends, and actively look for ways to apply them to real problems.
  • Always Curious - Ask questions, challenge assumptions, and seek to understand the full system before proposing solutions. Make learning a continuous priority.
