Job Description Summary:
The LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games will unfold in real time on Social platforms; the line between athlete and creator has blurred the second (and third) screen now plays a critical role in how the Games dominate culture. Billions of fans around the world will experience the games on Social first, presenting a massive opportunity for The Coca-Cola Company to drive value for our brands, bottlers and customers. The Sr. Director I, Social & Community | LA28 will set the enterprise ambition and operating model for how NAOU drives value during the Olympic & Paralympic Games through social, community and creator-led marketing. Working closely with the wider North America Social community, this leader will drive our LA28 Social strategy & execution, elevating social from a channel discipline to a modern growth capability that connects culture, creators, communities, content, commerce and measurement across the full IMX ecosystem.

- A clear LA28 social and community vision that modernizes brand building around culture, conversation, creators and community participation during LA28.
- A creator-led operating model that defines strategy, governance, briefing standards, partner roles, content workflows, and measurement.
- A stronger bridge between brand storytelling and social-native content, ensuring creative ideas are built for the behaviors, communities and formats of each platform.
- An accountable LA28 social ecosystem with sharper KPIs across community health, advocacy, cultural relevance, content effectiveness, creator performance and business impact.
- A high-performing partner, creator and agency model built for speed, experimentation, social safety, learning and scalable excellence.
What You’ll Do for Us
- Vision & Social Transformation: Define and articulate a bold, future-forward vision for LA28 social and community that positions social as a strategic growth capability, not only a communications channel. Lead the transformation of social into a cultural engine for brand relevance, consumer participation, advocacy and business growth.
- Creator-Led Way of Working: Build the strategic framework, operating model and governance for creator-led marketing across core brands activating LA28. Define how creators are used across the funnel, when brands should work with creators versus influencers, how creator briefs are developed, how creator content is activated across paid, owned, earned and commerce environments, and how learnings are scaled across brands.
- Creator Strategy, Governance & Measurement: With IMX Social Lead, co-create clear standards for creator selection, role definition, briefing, content rights, approvals, brand safety, disclosure, measurement and optimization. Partner with Brand, Creative, Media, Legal, Procurement and agency teams to create a consistent, accountable and scalable creator ecosystem.
- Community-Centric Brand Building: Support and accelerate big picture efforts to build (alongside IMX Social team) and nurture vibrant brand communities by embedding human insights, cultural foresight, social listening and audience-first planning into social strategy. Ensure social content and community engagement reflect authentic storytelling, two-way participation and genuine consumer connection.
- Content Excellence & Platform Fluency: Champion fit-for-platform creative that reflects how people actually discover, engage, share and participate in culture across each social environment. Drive stronger creative standards for short-form video, creator content, community response, real-time engagement and social-first storytelling.
- Social Safety & Brand Protection: In collaboration with IMX, support development of and adoption of best-in-class social safety protocols, escalation routines, listening signals and response standards. Protect our brands through proactive issue management, rapid response and clear decision-making across platforms, agencies and stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Integration: Partner closely with LA28, IOC, Brand, Creative, Media, Design, Commerce, Legal, Procurement, Consumer Insights, Data, Global EPICS and IMX teams to integrate social and creator strategies into broader brand campaigns, retail moments, experiential activations and always-on engagement models.
- Measurement, Learning & Business Impact: Establish KPIs and learning agendas that connect social and creator activity to community health, advocacy, content performance, cultural relevance, media efficiency, consumer engagement and business outcomes. Use analytics, social intelligence and experimentation to optimize strategy and communicate impact to senior stakeholders.
- Step-change approach to real-time: In collaboration with Sr Director, Live Experience Amplification (Global EPICS), develop best in class approach to maximizing value creation for our brands via real time moments that drive the cultural conversation around the Olympic & Paralympic Games.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field required; MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus.
- Experience: 10-12 years of experience in social media strategy, creator marketing, brand marketing, digital communications or integrated marketing, and building modern social/community capabilities.
- Creator & Social Expertise: Deep understanding of today’s creator economy, creator/influencer operating models, platform behaviors, content formats, community management, social analytics, paid social amplification and emerging social technologies.
- Strategic Leadership: Ability to define vision, simplify complexity, establish decision rights and translate strategy into scalable operating models across brands, functions, agencies and external partners.
- Change Management & Influence: Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders, align cross-functional teams, lead through ambiguity and embed new ways of working across a complex organization. Comfort working in ambiguity / white space environments.
- Measurement Orientation: Strong ability to define KPIs, interpret performance insights, connect social and creator activity to business outcomes, and use learnings to improve future work.
- Team Leadership: Experience leading agency and external partners with a focus on clarity, accountability, speed, experimentation and capability-building.
- Cultural Fluency: Genuine passion for culture, creativity, consumer connection and community participation, with the ability to keep brands relevant in fast-moving social environments. Strongly prefer experience working with 3rd party rightsholders.

Pay Range:
United States: 193,000 - 224,000 USD
Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.
