About this role
Job Summary:
The Senior Engineer – QS & Billing is responsible for performing quantity take-offs, verifying site measurements, preparing client and subcontractor bills, and maintaining cost and quantity records. This role is essential to ensure accurate commercial control, compliance with contracts, and proper documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
📐 Quantity Surveying
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Measure and record quantities related to Mivan shuttering, concrete works, finishes, and services.
- Assist in preparation and verification of BOQs and quantity reconciliation statements.
💰 Client & Subcontractor Billing
- Draft RA bills and final bills for clients as per contract terms and site progress.
- Verify subcontractor bills based on joint measurements and actual execution.
- Ensure proper documentation, measurement sheets, and supporting records are maintained.
📊 Reconciliation & Cost Monitoring
- Reconcile quantities and costs against budget and work orders.
- Maintain records of extra items, deviations, and variations for analysis.
- Report on cost and quantity deviations to the senior management team.
📑 Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing logs and measurement records.
- Assist in preparing MIS reports and billing dashboards.
- Ensure proper documentation for audits, internal reviews, and client verifications.
🤝 Coordination
- Work closely with planning, execution, procurement, and finance departments.
- Coordinate with site engineers and contractors for timely data collection.
- Support contract administration and ensure billing is aligned with contractual conditions.
Qualifications:
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering (mandatory)
- Prior experience in high-rise construction and Mivan technology is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP/Billing tools (SAP / Buildsmart / Oracle)
Key Skills:
- Solid understanding of quantity take-offs and Mivan construction methodology
- Knowledge of client and subcontractor billing procedures
- Strong documentation, measurement, and reconciliation skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and time-management capabilities
- Good interpersonal and coordination skills across functions
