Senior Engineer - Tooling and Equipment

Job Description:

• Designing, developing, and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices.
• Researching and delivering new and advanced industrial solutions, upgrading the types of machinery and current technology.
• Coordinates Mechanical/electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data.
• Selecting the required tools and materials for the manufacturing process.
• Identify innovative technologies that could provide benefits to our operations.
• Experience with developing various Industrial applications and/or distributed systems, electronic controls, and communication, especially the interfaces and hardware software integration.
• Monitor or calibrate automated systems, industrial control systems, or system components to maximize efficiency of production.
•  Experience in reading and interpreting complex mechanical, technical   drawings.
• Support operational improvement and cost reduction activities by providing technical expertise in process and manufacturing methods.
• Provide engineering and troubleshooting support to production and  maintenance to resolve technical problems, equipment breakdowns, and drive process improvement.
• Identifying areas of improvement in the production line or finished products and making recommendations and do the improvement.
• Working knowledge of ERP.

Education and Experience Required:

• Diploma in Mechatronics or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial or other related engineering field
• Operating knowledge and experience in AutoCAD & Solid works.

• Minimum 6 -8 years of experience with a strong industrial automation background and control systems.
• Knowledge of PLC programming and support
• Experience with HMI/SCADA systems
• Knowledge/understanding of machine safety systems and applicable standards.
• Automation experience in pick, carry & placing of components for various stages of process.
• Intermediate level of proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office programs.

• Responsible for Automation and upgradation of existing manufacturing line at the factory
• Deriving specifications for the new production line including co-ordination with suppliers, Supply chain, process engineering and other cross functional teams.
