About the Team
Trading Services Engineering team powers OKX's core trading infrastructure — the systems that keep millions of users trading reliably, 24/7, at global scale. You'll build the backbone that other engineering teams depend on.
What You'll Be Doing
- Design and build high-availability, low-latency distributed services that power core trading flows
- Own service reliability end-to-end: architecture, performance tuning, monitoring, and incident response
- Partner with Product and cross-functional engineering teams to translate trading requirements into scalable system design
- Drive technical best practices through code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship of peers
- Contribute to Kafka-based messaging architecture and event-driven system design at scale
What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and Marketing to drive innovation and execution
- Design and implement high availability, high-performance distributed services
- Contribute to technology best practices and perform code reviews for peers
What We Look For In You
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Demonstrated experience adopting AI tools in the engineering workflow, able to evaluate and integrate AI capabilities into day-to-day development
- Hands-on experience in Microservice/API development using Java/SpringBoot/SpringCloud
- Strong knowledge of multi-threading and distributed architecture, and understanding of messaging frameworks such as Kafka
- Proficient in relational database design and development
- Comfortable working in a cloud-based Linux environment
- Proven experience in automated testing and continuous integration
- Knowledge of integrating with 3rd party software via APIs/SDKs
