This is a senior-level opportunity to join a growing pre-construction team and take a lead role in pricing and securing varied, high-quality construction projects across the East Midlands. They operate in a wide range of sectors including: Commercial Healthcare Education MOD / Defence Industrial and mixed-use development Key Highlights: Regional contractor with strong client relationships and frameworks Projects ranging from £2m to £40m in value Long-term career opportunity with influence over future growth Nottingham head office with locally delivered projects Supportive approachable senior leadership team Genuine focus on staff wellbeing work-life balance and development Role As a Senior Estimator you’ll take a lead role in managing tenders, preparing cost plans and supporting the pre-construction strategy across a range of traditional and design & build schemes. You’ll have visibility across all stages of the bid process and contribute to strategic decision-making on key opportunities. This is an ideal role for an experienced Estimator looking to take the next step, or a current Senior Estimator seeking more autonomy and influence in a regional delivery-focused business. Responsibilities Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and tender submissions Develop cost plans and budget estimates at pre-construction stage Analyse drawings specifications and employer requirements Manage and liaise with subcontractors and supply chain partners for pricing Conduct risk analysis and value engineering assessments Contribute to bid strategy ensuring commercially competitive and compliant submissions Attend pre-tender meetings site visits and client briefings Assist with handover to operations teams post-award Mentor junior members of the estimating team where appropriate Person The ideal candidate will be an experienced Senior Estimator or an established Estimator ready to step up. You’ll have a solid background working for a main contractor ideally on projects between £2m–£40m in value. Requirements: 5+ years' estimating experience with a construction main contractor Proven track record of managing full tender lifecycle Strong technical understanding of construction methodologies Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Excel Experience working with JCT and/or D&B contracts Confident communicator able to liaise with clients supply chain and internal stakeholders Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving abilities Based within commuting distance to Leicester Remuneration This is a brilliant opportunity to join a growing regional contractor where your voice will be heard, and your expertise valued.
