About this role
The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) hosts world-class education and research programmes in organic and inorganic chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, bioengineering and process engineering and synthetic chemistry. We aim to nurture future-ready graduates with the ability to tackle new challenges in chemicals manufacturing, healthcare, energy, food, and other important sectors.
We are seeking a Senior Executive, Facilities and Operations to support the effective running of its facilities, infrastructure and operational functions.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor routine and ad-hoc facilities maintenance works, liaising with vendors and contractors to ensure issues are resolved promptly and service standards are met.
Coordinate infrastructure-related improvement projects and renovations, including space-related modifications, to minimise disruption to staff and students.
Plan and manage office and cubicle space allocation, analyse space utilisation, and recommend optimisation measures to meet growing demand from faculty and postgraduate students.
Support safety-related initiatives, including emergency coordination and contractor management, to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and digitalise workflows, and recommend cost-effective solutions for facilities operations.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Diploma in facilities management or a related field.
At least 3 to 5 years of working experience in facilities, infrastructure or operations management.
Prior experience in a tertiary education institution setting and/or space planning or utilisation analysis will be advantageous.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with vendors, contractors and internal teams.
Good written and spoken communication skills.
Appointment title offered will be commensurate with candidate’s prior work experiences.
