Senior Exploration Geologist

Westgold is seeking a highly capable Senior Exploration Geologist to lead our exploration team and drive target generation across our extensive tenure in the Tier 1 Murchison gold belt, as we pursue our next major gold discovery. About the role: About the role: * **Lead discovery-focused exploration with the technical, operational and financial support needed to deliver results.** * **Play a key role in shaping the future of Westgold through new discoveries and resource growth.** * **Gain exposure to a variety of geological terrains through 12-month rotational opportunities across our operations.** Key Responsibilities: * Generate and mature drill‑ready targets from regional to prospect scale * Build and prioritise a quality exploration pipeline * Integrate multi‑disciplinary datasets for target definition and ranking * Oversee drilling programs and field execution * Maintain QA/QC, data integrity and technical standards * Lead team development, contractors and program delivery * Ensure compliance with WHS, heritage and regulatory requirements * Deliver technical interpretations, models and reporting What You’ll Bring: * Proven success in target generation and discovery‑focused exploration * 10+ years in Archean gold systems, including regional/generative work * Experience producing drill‑ready targets from integrated datasets * Proficiency in QGIS/MapInfo and Leapfrog/Micromine * Solid knowledge of WA regulations and JORC guidelines * Geology degree; Schedule 26; WA manual licence **The Westgold Offer:** A permanent full-time position at a successful gold producer **A range of benefits including:** * Performance based bonus * Group salary continuous insurance * A health and wellness allowance Health insurance discount * A range of Family and Medical leave policies that includes IVF, surrogacy and adoption. * Referral Bonus - bring your mates along! * 5 years' pro rata long service leave * Salary sacrifice options * Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that include free confidential counselling, wellbeing services that includes financial advice.
