What you'll do
- Leading month-end, quarter-end and year-end close processes.
- Managing the General Ledger, journals, accruals, prepayments and intercompany accounting.
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and FP&A activities.
- Managing VAT, statutory reporting and audit requirements.
- Supporting internal controls and compliance activities.
- Providing financial analysis and commercial insight to senior management.
- Supporting inventory accounting, costing and variance analysis.
- Working closely with operations, supply chain and commercial teams.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting.
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the finance team.

We are currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join an established business in West Limerick. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to take on a broad role with strong exposure to financial reporting, commercial finance, controls and business partnering. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day accounting and reporting activities of the business, while partnering with operational and commercial teams to support business performance.
