About this role

About us:
Wifinity was founded in 2007 to solve a problem—our armed forces were struggling with reliable connectivity. While living in barracks, often in remote locations, ordering a landline and booking in an engineer just wasn’t an option.

And that problem isn’t exclusive to the military, either. Students living in University accommodation, families visiting holiday resorts, or living in shared accommodation and retirement communities.

Conventional home broadband doesn’t always work for them.

Wifinity is different. We offer the same benefits as traditional broadband, such as super-fast speeds, WiFi, and secure and private networks, but none of the downsides. We even offer Pay As You Go and flexible contracts, so customers only pay for what they need without hefty penalties or long contract terms.

We take the complexity out of connectivity.

The Opportunity:
Wifinity is seeking a hands-on Interim FP&A Manager for an expected three-month day-rate assignment. The role is focused on protecting finance reporting and budget continuity during a short transition period. This is not a transformation or team leadership role. The priority is to hit the ground running, get across existing files quickly, deliver recurring outputs reliably, support the current budget process where needed, and transfer both BAU and budget knowledge cleanly from the incumbent to the permanent hire.

The interim will sit in Finance and report directly to the Commercial Finance Director. The role suits someone who is comfortable working at pace, picking up established files, maintaining reporting discipline and communicating clearly with senior finance stakeholders.

Key Areas of Focus:
The assignment is deliberately focused across four areas: handover, BAU reporting delivery, budget continuity, and controls/stakeholder management.
1. Handover and continuity

  • Receive a structured handover from the incumbent covering both BAU reporting and the budget/reforecast process.
  • Document key files, reporting timetables, budget assumptions, open issues, judgement areas, dependencies and known risks.
  • Prepare a practical handover pack for the incoming permanent hire covering BAU reporting, budget status, recurring tasks and immediate priorities.

2. BAU reporting delivery

  • Deliver recurring FP&A outputs to the agreed timetable, including board pack inputs, cash flow forecasting, liquidity reporting, lender/investor reporting, weekly trading updates, month-end commentary and KPI packs.
  • Prepare clear analysis of revenue, margin, costs, cash flow, working capital and capex movements using existing reporting definitions.
  • Maintain process notes for recurring reporting activities so ownership can transfer cleanly to the permanent hire.

3. Budget and reforecast support

  • Maintain budget and reforecast continuity using the existing process, templates, input files and review cadence.
  • Support the incumbent and wider finance team on budget preparation, data checks, pack production and version control where additional capacity is required.
  • Keep budget status, open questions, key assumptions and next steps clear so the process can continue smoothly after the interim assignment.

4. Controls and stakeholder management

  • Maintain reporting discipline across reconciliations, version control, timetable management and assumption tracking.
  • Investigate variances, identify data issues and escalate unresolved questions early.
  • Communicate clearly with senior finance stakeholders, keeping updates factual, concise and action-oriented.

About you:
You will be a practical FP&A or management reporting professional who can hit the ground running, quickly build an understanding of existing reporting frameworks, and confidently work independently from the outset. You should be comfortable operating as an interim: structured handover in, disciplined delivery during the assignment, and clean handover out to a permanent hire.
Your experience:

  • Strong FP&A, management reporting or commercial finance experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working through existing models rather than rebuilding.
  • Experience preparing board pack inputs, cash flow forecasts, KPI reporting, monthly commentary or lender/investor reporting.
  • Experience supporting a budget or forecast cycle, including input management, output checks and version control.
  • Clear, factual communication style and the confidence to flag issues early.

It would be nice to also have…

  • Experience in an infrastructure, private equity-backed, managed services, telecoms or recurring revenue business.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Adaptive, Access, Power Query or similar planning and reporting tools.
  • Immediate or short-notice availability for an expected three-month day-rate assignment.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant preferred, but not essential where interim FP&A experience is strong.
  • Strong reporting discipline across reconciliations, version control, timetable management and assumption tracking.
  • Able to start quickly, absorb an initial handover and operate independently.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package which includes an ‘Annual Leave Buy & Sell Scheme’, in addition to a remote first working environment, allowing our employees more flexibility when it comes to the importance of a healthy work / life balance. Please be aware that the successful applicant to this role will receive an offer which is subject to the satisfactory completion of a basic level DBS check.

At Wifinity we are committed to providing a positive environment in which individuals do not encounter bullying or harassment on the basis of protected characteristics which are identified by law (including sexual harassment). We are committed to treating candidates and employees with courtesy, dignity and respect.
