Job Description

We're currently looking to hire a Senior Index and ETF Investment Specialist to join L&G Asset Management. 

The Senior Index & ETF Investment Specialist is a recognised expert responsible for driving commercial growth, influencing strategic direction and representing the Index & ETF business internally and externally.

The role combines deep investment expertise, leadership, stakeholder management and commercial judgement to shape product strategy, support strategic clients and enhance the firm's reputation in the marketplace.

The individual is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, lead major initiatives and influence senior stakeholders across Investments, Distribution, Product Development, Marketing and Executive leadership.

What you’ll be doing:

• Representing the Index & ETF business with clients, consultants, platforms, strategic partners and at relevant industry events
• Partnering with sales teams to identify and deliver commercial growth opportunities across different client segments and geographies
• Leading engagement with strategic clients and prospective clients to support asset retention and new business opportunities
• Shaping the positioning and messaging of the Index & ETF product range in response to market developments and evolving client needs
• Driving the identification, evaluation and prioritisation of new products, investment strategies and innovation opportunities
• Collaborating across Investments, Product Development, Distribution, Technology, Legal and Compliance to deliver strategic initiatives
• Creating thought leadership, market commentary, research and client insights relating to investment strategies, benchmarks and market developments
• Providing guidance and mentorship to Investment Specialists and wider business teams while promoting consistency and best practice

Who we’re looking for:

• Deep understanding of global equity markets, portfolio construction and investment performance drivers
• Strong expertise in ETFs, index-based investment solutions and benchmark construction
• Ability to conduct independent investment research and develop views on market trends and opportunities
• Proficiency in Python, pandas and NumPy to support investment analysis and reporting
• Client-facing experience, with the ability to communicate complex investment concepts effectively
• Track record of enhancing processes, improving efficiency and delivering innovative solutions
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and priorities
• Commercially minded, with advanced Bloomberg proficiency and the ability to support asset growth and client retention initiatives
