Senior iOS Engineer

Job Title: Senior iOS Engineer 

Location: Nottingham - Hybrid 

Working Pattern: 3 days in-office (Tuesday-Thursday) and 2 days remote.

You and the Role 

Working in and across self-organised mobile engineering teams is a natural part of our outcome-based culture. You'll design and develop software features that are delightful and vital to the lives of credit card consumers across all walks of life, collaborating closely with engineering managers and senior engineers across teams to keep our mobile offering compelling.

Please apply if you are keen to work with the following technology stack. You do not need to be an expert in all of these areas; we are primarily looking for excellent problem solvers with a strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

• Swift & iOS Toolsets (Xcode, XCTest, XCUITest) for building high-performing mobile applications
• Cloud / AWS, leveraging cloud opportunities for backend orchestration services and scalable infrastructure
• Jenkins & Git, driving automated continuous integration and delivery pipelines

And meet most of the following:

• You are a capable senior engineer, passionate about guiding and growing junior engineers towards appropriate target architectures
• You have diverse technical experience, perhaps with a background spanning backend engineering to mobile ecosystems
• You maintain a strong questioning (and diplomatic!) mindset, relentlessly driving modern engineering practices across mobile communities of practice
• You write well-factored, well-tested code and act as an advocate for quality using practices like Pair Programming, TDD, and BDD
• You can effectively communicate across engineering teams to maximize inner-sourcing opportunities and reduce waste
• You enjoy being a helpful, approachable, and inquisitive problem-solver who thrives in delivering frequent, high-quality releases within a complex regulated environment
• You enjoy hybrid working, with Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday spent collaborating in our bright offices
   

Where and how you'll work

This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office.

We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You'll spend three days a week in the office (Tuesday-Thursday), with Monday and Friday being dedicated work-from-home days.
