Senior Management Accountant

Our client is a well-established, globally recognised technology and manufacturing business, who are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to join their finance team and play a key role in supporting financial decision-making, reporting, and operational efficiency.

With offices in Dublin 17, this will be a fully onsite position, and they are offering a very competitive salary, bonus, and pension.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and insightful financial information while supporting the wider business with analysis and commercial decision-making.

This is a hands-on role that will suit a commercially minded accountant who enjoys working closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders and wants to make a tangible contribution to a growing, technology-driven business.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts and financial statements.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, and other period-end adjustments.
• Monitor and report on cost centres, identifying areas of opportunity and risk.
• Review margins and provide analysis to support commercial decision-making.
• Analyse financial and operational data, identifying trends and providing clear recommendations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Support the development and improvement of financial processes, systems, and controls.
• Ensure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with internal controls and relevant regulations.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting to support business requirements.

Requirements

• Strong accounting and finance knowledge, with experience across core accounting principles and practices.
• Proven experience preparing and reviewing management accounts, financial statements, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of accruals, prepayments, and other period-end adjustments.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends and communicate meaningful recommendations.
• A professional accounting qualification or progression towards ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modelling.
• Experience using accounting/ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
