Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) is a leading creator and distributor of entertainment products, services, and technology, with a global footprint spanning film, television, and digital content.

Sony Pictures Television Distribution is embarking on a significant multi-year business transformation programme designed to modernise how the organisation operates across people, processes, data, and technology. This transformation will simplify and standardise ways of working, enhance business capabilities, and establish a stronger foundation to support future growth and innovation.

To help deliver this ambitious programme, we are establishing a new Business Transformation team within TV Distribution. We are seeking a Senior Manager, Business Transformation on a 12-month fixed-term contract to play a key role in delivering one of the programme's strategic transformation initiatives. While primarily aligned to a flagship project, this role will also contribute to programme governance, cross-functional coordination, and the continuous improvement of the wider transformation portfolio.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable solving complex business problems, managing delivery, influencing stakeholders, and driving initiatives through to successful implementation. They will thrive in fast-paced environments, quickly build credibility, and bring structure to complex, evolving programmes.

What you'll do:

Lead Strategic Transformation Delivery

  • Lead delivery activities for a strategic business transformation initiative, ensuring milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables are proactively managed.

  • Build and manage integrated project plans that align business, technology, and operational teams around shared objectives.

  • Drive initiatives from planning through implementation, ensuring delivery remains aligned to programme priorities and business outcomes.

  • Work closely with technical delivery teams to define business requirements, validate solution designs, and support end-to-end implementation.

Partner with the Business

  • Build trusted relationships with senior business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Analyse business processes, operating models, and ways of working to recommend practical, sustainable solutions.

  • Facilitate workshops, decision-making sessions, and stakeholder discussions to drive alignment and resolve complex issues.

  • Prepare executive presentations, business cases, financial analyses, and recommendations that support strategic decision-making.

Drive Programme Excellence

  • Establish and maintain effective project governance, including RAID management, executive reporting, status updates, and steering committee materials.

  • Coordinate activities across related initiatives to identify dependencies, manage risks, and promote consistency across the transformation portfolio.

  • Support programme-level governance by contributing to portfolio reporting, delivery standards, methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Capture lessons learned and develop reusable templates, tools, and best practices that strengthen the Business Transformation function.

Deliver Sustainable Business Outcomes

  • Support organisational readiness and business adoption activities to enable successful implementation and long-term sustainability.

  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify delivery risks, recommending mitigation strategies where required.

  • Measure and communicate progress against agreed objectives, ensuring stakeholders remain informed and aligned.

  • Contribute to embedding a culture of continuous improvement and delivery excellence across the transformation portfolio.

What you have:

  • Significant experience in management consulting, business transformation, corporate strategy, programme delivery, finance, operational excellence, or another strategic business function.

  • Demonstrated success delivering complex business transformation, process improvement, or enterprise technology implementation initiatives.

  • Strong analytical, commercial, and structured problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex issues into practical business solutions.

  • Proven project management experience leading multiple workstreams, stakeholders, risks, and dependencies.

  • Experience preparing executive-level presentations, business cases, and governance materials.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to influence across all organisational levels.

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in ambiguity within a fast-paced transformation environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Jira, Smartsheet, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools is advantageous.

  • Experience within Media & Entertainment or another complex global organisation is desirable.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience. Relevant certifications in project management, Agile delivery, Lean Six Sigma, or business transformation are advantageous but not required.

How we take care of you:

  • Competitive salary, with annual bonus eligibility.

  • A choice of comprehensive health plan options that fit your lifestyle, including private medical insurance.

  • Rest and recharge during a week off during the winter holidays, in addition to the 25 days of paid annual leave.

  • Participate in extensive learning & development opportunities at all levels, including curated instructor-led classes and high-impact online resources.

  • Build your community by joining our Employee Business Resource Groups, and/or Sony Pictures Action – our racial equity and inclusion strategy.

  • Access to an employee online store filled with a variety of discounted Sony products.

  • Watch the newest movies and TV shows at our exclusive employee screenings at work.

  • Entitlement to apply for an interest-free season ticket loan.

  • Automatic enrolment in the Company’s Pension Plan

  • Free counselling and advisory service.

  • You will be automatically enrolled in the Company’s Life Insurance and Group Income Protection Plans, subject to any applicable service requirements.

  • The opportunity to attend various social events in our state-of-the-art offices in Paddington.

  • In addition to the above, we have a range of other optional discounted benefits that are reviewed regularly (e.g., gym memberships, travel insurance, activity passes, car leasing, experience days and many more!)
