What’s the role? 

This role will play a crucial part of the UNITE team. UNITE is our business-led, tech-enabled transformation, and a key priority for the Group. UNITE is about delivering 'one best way' to make our processes, systems and tech simpler so we can deliver a better experience for our customers and make things easier for our people

As Senior Manager, UNITE Compliance, you’ll provide independent compliance advice and support across Westpac’s UNITE transformation program. You’ll work with program, business, risk, legal and control teams to understand how proposed changes may affect regulatory obligations, customers, frontline teams and the way the bank operates. 

You’ll review transformation plans, customer migration activity, controls, testing and implementation readiness, helping teams identify and address compliance risks early. You’ll assess incidents and issues, provide practical advice on remediation and escalate concerns when risks aren’t being appropriately managed. 

You’ll also contribute clear insights to senior governance forums and support regulatory engagement relating to the program. This role will suit someone who enjoys navigating complex change, applying sound judgement and influencing positive outcomes while maintaining independent oversight. 

This role is full-time 12-month max term contract and based in Sydney with hybrid and flexibility arrangements.  

 

What do I need?
