Reports To: Assistant Vice President and Lead - High School Programs

Location: Ashoka University Campus, Sonipat/Okhla, New Delhi

Experience (in years): 06-10 years of functional experience in Education with a reputed organisation in senior administrative or academic department roles in academic programme development/curriculum development/ course development for a leading EdTech or a reputed higher education organisation in India or outside. Passionate about the role of education & learning outcomes, especially for high school students

About the High School Programs: 

Ashoka aims to leverage its brand, unique pedagogy, and best practices to build impactful programs for High School Students -both offline and online certificate programs. These include the Young Scholars Program (YSP), Ashoka Horizons, and many others.

• Ashoka Young Scholars Program (YSP), now in its ninth year, is already the most prestigious summer program for high school students in the country, attracting talented and motivated students to an enriching & immersive college experience, across its 5 programs in liberal arts, sciences, computer science, humanities and economics & entrepreneurship streams. The programme continues to expand at an exponential rate with more high schoolers applying from across the country each year.
• Ashoka Horizons offers short-term, online, learning by doing (project-based learning), real-world and future-forward programmes to high schoolers across the country and abroad. Ashoka Horizons courses are specially designed for curious & motivated high schoolers, providing a deeper exploration of specific subjects, 21st century skills and other non-academic areas of interest. Ashoka Horizons are better prepared for college decisions, college applications and life beyond. Ashoka Horizons was launched in 2020 and has been growing exponentially since. 

Roles and Responsibilities: The position would take end-to-end responsibility for identifying, developing, building, and delivering programs/courses under the Ashoka High School Programs portfolio, with a focus on delivering high-quality, relevant, and impactful courses, measured by applications and enrolments, in line with targets and program/course feedback. The opportunity to grow Ashoka’s High School Programsa nd expand the impact of Ashoka’s education.

The role comes with the following responsibilities:

• Develop and stay updated with a rich understanding of the education landscape, trends, competing offerings and student needs & need-gaps.

• Identify and develop relevant, differentiated & popular programs/ courses, in line with the vision & purpose of the High School Programs team.

• Work collaboratively with key internal & external stakeholders in developing curriculum, including educators, faculty, industry leaders, Outreach & Admission teams and the High School Program team.

• Continuously develop a rich network of faculty, experts, industry leaders and teaching fellows for our program/ courses within Ashoka and outside.

• Implement best-in-class pedagogical tools and practices in the delivery of our programs/ courses- both offline and on campus.

• Work closely with the High School Program marketing & operations teams in the expansion of the school network, development of content, communication, events, etc., that best reflect our programs and deliver on the application targets.

• Represent the program/ course in school outreach activities, including meetings, webinars and presentations with educators, counsellors, parents & students.   

• Work with the operations team in developing the application, selection and evaluation metrics for the programs/ courses.
• Induct, train and lead the program development team, short-term academic resources, including teaching fellows, academic counsellors, etc. 

Eligibility: 

• Experience(8+ years of experience, full-time or project-based) in similar roles with one of the leading Indian universities or with online/on-premise courses targeted at high school students.

• Experience with premier organisations

• Preference would be given to past associates/students of Ashoka YSP or Horizons programs

• Only candidates with a strong career interest in Education and a strong educational background need to apply. Preference would be given to graduates/ post-graduates in Education from reputed institutes in India & abroad.
