  • Lead process optimization initiatives with the FP&A organization.

Job Description

This position will serve as a liaison between business finance users and the Business Technical Support community.  The position’s primary focus will be on business systems and related processes across several Finance Functional Areas, Affiliates and Sites.  The role is critical to ensure SAC applications incidents are triaged.  The day-to-day primary responsibility of the position will be to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) ensuring smooth business system operations and coordination of activities within Headquarters (HQ) Business and Technical Support and FP&A for all aspects of the systems life cycle.  

Responsibilities

  • Lead month end close systems process which includes ensuring timely data feeds, data validation and incident remediation across multiple reporting applications. Requires coordination with cross-functional subject matter experts in BPC, SAC as well as AA Commercial Financial Planning and Analysis teams. 
  • Primary focus will be to support AA Global HQ and US organization in Irvine as well as AA LATAM during key financial reporting cycle.  Support as needed for AA International.
  • Provide training and on-hands Financial Planning systems/template support to end-users.
  • Support AA Finance as key liaison with Business and Technical Support Project Managers for SAC for testing and data validation with key system deployments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Information Technology Systems related
  • Minimum 6+ years of progressive and related experience.  3-5 years prior experience in a Strategic/Analytical Role
  • Highly skilled in the use of Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Strong financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Travel:    25%
