  • Lead tax governance, compliance and reporting activities for APEX Superannuation clients, ensuring obligations are met accurately and on time.
  • Oversee preparation, review and lodgement of income tax returns, GST, FBT, PAYG, BAS and other relevant superannuation tax filings.
  • Provide senior technical oversight for tax provisions, reconciliations, deferred tax calculations and disclosures for fund accounting, statutory and management reporting.
  • Advise finance, investment, operations, client service and senior leadership stakeholders on tax implications, fund activity, transactions, regulatory change and business initiatives.
  • Monitor Australian tax, superannuation and regulatory developments and assess their impact on APEX Superannuation’s tax position, processes and controls.
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, regulators, administrators and other key stakeholders.
  • Strengthen tax risk management, documentation, governance frameworks, review procedures and evidence supporting material tax positions.
  • Lead process improvement, automation and control enhancement initiatives across tax and fund accounting reporting cycles.
  • Lead, coach and develop team members and service providers, promoting accountability, technical quality and timely delivery.

Senior Manager - Tax Superannuation

Location : Melbourne or Sydney

Description

This role is responsible for leading tax governance, compliance and reporting activities for the superannuation business. The role provides senior technical oversight, supports fund accounting and financial reporting outcomes, works with client stakeholders to align tax implications, and drives improvements to controls, processes and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead tax governance, compliance and reporting activities for APEX Superannuation clients, ensuring obligations are met accurately and on time.
