We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong technical design skills and a multi-disciplinary mindset. This role involves managing mechanical work packages within the Building Services segment.

Ko wai koe | About you

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer who meets the following criteria:

  • You enjoy getting involved in technical delivery in Building Services, with a minimum of 5-6 years' experience in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning, including at least 2-3 years in a consulting role.

  • You work effectively within project teams, demonstrating a proactive and positive problem-solving approach.

  • You can develop the technical expertise of junior mechanical engineers to support project delivery.

  • You have demonstrated capability in developing and delivering mechanical HVAC design from inception through detailed design, and on to construction monitoring to practical completion with fine-tuning.

  • Your experience includes the use of load estimation tools such as Carrier E-20 or IES, and familiarity with design communication software such as Bluebeam and Revit.

  • You are familiar with relevant international standards for mechanical HVAC building services, as well as recognised industry guidance such as CIBSE or ASHRAE.

  • If your consulting background is in New Zealand, you are familiar with local building codes and seismic design requirements.
