  • You will deliver compliance of Mechanical Engineering solutions through the entire Engineering Lifecycle, ensuring that the solutions consider all requirements including product quality, safety, reliability, etc. Mechanical Engineering detailed design; including numerical calculations, tolerance studies, etc.
  • You will support, and get support from, senior Peers in the delivery of mechanical solutions and techniques that enable the team to advance the next generation of product.
  • Producing Manufacturing Data Packs in line with BS8888, including appropriate use of GD&T.
  • Support to successful resolution of technical investigations.
  • Contributing to reviews of mechanical designs in accordance with business and industry standards.
  • Hands on involvement in practical implementation of development builds and Design of Experiments.
  • Providing support during the introduction of new product into the Development/Production lifecycle phase.
  • Actively contribute to Work Package delivery elements to achieve desired Quality, Schedule and Cost.

At Leonardo, we have an opportunity for Mechanical Engineers to join our Team, where you will work alongside some of the UKs most talented Engineers and Scientists. The role will require novel approaches to overcome the demanding challenges set by our customers and will build on decades of domain leading heritage.

All members of the Mechanical Engineering Team are encouraged to continually develop their technical skills within structural, thermal and model driven engineering aspects of Mechanical Engineering.

This role allows a mixture of on-site and remote working; with attendance at our Basildon facility required when Customer requirements dictate.

What you’ll bring
