To achieve this, our 7,500 Switchers combine their historical engineering expertise and project management with digital technologies.

In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.

Job Description

Role Purpose

The Senior Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, analysing, and reporting integrated project schedules across a major infrastructure programme. Working client-side, the role provides planning assurance, performance analysis, schedule governance, and strategic programme controls support to ensure the successful delivery of project objectives relating to scope, time, cost, and risk.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and review integrated programme and project schedules within Primavera P6.
  • Monitor contractor and delivery partner programmes, assessing progress, logic, critical path, schedule health, and forecast completion dates.
  • Provide independent challenge and assurance of contractor schedules, methodologies, and recovery plans.
  • Analyse schedule performance, trends, milestones, float consumption, and programme risks.
  • Support change control processes by assessing the time impact of proposed changes and compensation events.
  • Produce regular planning and performance reports for project leadership and senior stakeholders.
  • Facilitate planning workshops, schedule reviews, and risk sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with programme controls standards, planning procedures, and governance requirements.
  • Support integration of schedule data with cost, risk, and reporting functions.
  • Identify potential delays and develop mitigation and recovery strategies.
  • Contribute to business cases, delivery strategies, and programme-level planning activities.

Qualifications

Key Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience in planning and scheduling within major infrastructure, rail, transportation, utilities, or construction projects.
  • Strong Primavera P6 expertise.
  • Experience reviewing and challenging contractor programmes.
  • Understanding of NEC contracts and programme management requirements.
  • Knowledge of critical path analysis, earned value principles, schedule risk analysis, and programme controls.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex schedule information to senior management and project boards.
  • Experience working within a client, sponsor, or programme management environment.
