About this role

Support the North America Programs and Delegated Authority business's profit and growth objectives by providing end-to-end actuarial ownership and portfolio-level governance for strategic portfolio relationships. Portfolio Actuarial Ownership Serve as the single point of actuarial accountability for a large program portfolio across regions and functions. Act as a partner across underwriting, exposure management, reserving, and finance to ensure alignment on risk, return, and strategic objectives. Provide actuarial oversight across the full program lifecycle, including onboarding, ongoing vetting, and forward-looking portfolio planning. Deliver regular monitoring and performance analyses (rate change, loss trends, exposure growth, and market dynamics) to identify issues and opportunities. Provide actuarial support for alternative capital structures, including profitability considerations and reporting requirements. Provide independent actuarial vetting of all new program opportunities to ensure disciplined growth and adherence to target return thresholds. Bachelor's degree required Associateship or Fellowship in the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS/FCAS) or comparable education/designation with relevant experience. Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience required. Sound knowledge of actuarial techniques and standards, as well as other business operations including financial, underwriting, legal, statistics, claims, sales, etc. Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships and interact effectively with others within and outside the organization. Ability to motivate and mentor peers and motivate and train subordinates. Advanced computing skills (MS Office Excel, SAS, etc.) with ability to build complex models. Familiarity with programs/delegated authority business, alternative capital structures, and/or Lloyd's/London market strongly preferred. Advanced communication skills: demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely, and to influence senior management and stakeholders across regions and functions. Ability to lead independently and operate with accountability across a complex, global, multi-stakeholder portfolio. Ability to develop creative solutions to unique and complex problems, often when data is limited. Ability to drive teamwork and collaboration across departments, functions, and geographies. Ability to establish and build effective relationships within and outside the organization.
