Role: Senior Principal Consultant – Oracle EBS (R12.2.10) Financials & PPM
1. Role Overview
The Senior Principal Consultant will serve as a solution leader and domain expert in Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.2.10), primarily focusing on Financials and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) domains.
The role requires strong client engagement, solution architecture capability, and the ability to solve complex business problems across large-scale global implementations.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Solution Delivery & Leadership
- Lead end-to-end Oracle EBS (R12.2.10) implementations, rollouts, and upgrades across Financials and PPM modules
- Drive solution architecture and design aligned with enterprise standards and best practices
- Act as Functional Solution Architect / SME for complex business scenarios
- Ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions
B. Oracle Financials & PPM Expertise
- Design and configure:
- Financials Modules: GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, SLA
- PPM Modules: Project Costing, Project Billing, Project Contracts, Revenue Management
- Lead advanced implementations such as:
- Multi-org structures (MOAC)
- Revenue recognition (ASC 606)
- Intercompany accounting
- Drive integration between Financials and upstream/downstream systems
C. Client Engagement & Consulting
- Engage with global clients to:
- Gather and analyse business requirements
- Conduct workshops, CRPs, and design sessions
- Translate business needs into functional and technical solution designs
- Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders
- Present solution architecture, proposals, and roadmap to leadership teams
D. Implementation & Delivery Governance
- Own lifecycle activities:
- Requirement gathering → Design → Build → Test (SIT/UAT) → Go-Live → Support
- Lead:
- Data migration and reconciliation
- RICEW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Workflows) design
- Ensure adherence to:
- Project timelines
- Quality standards
- Risk mitigation and issue resolution
E. Complex Problem Solving
- Resolve:
- Complex accounting and project accounting challenges
- Integration and data inconsistencies
- Provide innovative solutions leveraging:
- Standard EBS capabilities
- Custom extensions where required
- Lead root cause analysis for critical production issues
F. Team Leadership & Mentoring
- Lead and mentor functional consultants and cross-functional teams
- Provide guidance on:
- Best practices
- Solution design standards
- Drive knowledge sharing across teams
G. Pre-Sales & Business Development
- Support:
- Proposal creation
- Solution estimations
- Client presentations
- Contribute to new business opportunities and account growth
3. Required Skills & Competencies
Functional Expertise
- Strong experience in:
- Oracle EBS R12.2.10 (mandatory)
- Oracle Financials (GL, AP, AR, FA, CM, SLA)
- Oracle PPM (Costing, Billing, Contracts, Revenue)
- Exposure to Oracle Fusion Financials & PPM (preferred)
Technical & Architecture Skills
- Strong understanding of:
- EBS architecture
- Integrations (APIs, interfaces)
- RICEW components
- Ability to design end-to-end enterprise solutions
Consulting Skills
- Excellent:

- Stakeholder management
- Experience working with global clients and onsite-offshore models

4. Experience Requirements
- 12–18+ years of Oracle ERP experience
- Minimum 8+ years in Oracle EBS Financials & PPM
- Proven experience in:
- Large-scale implementations
- Solution architecture roles
- Client-facing delivery
5. Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field. CA/CMA
- Oracle Certifications (EBS / Fusion Financials / PPM) – preferred
