Senior Product Designer

THE ROLE
Zuper is a field service management platform built for the trades — complex operations, tight margins, and real people in the field. We're looking for a Senior Designer who can take genuinely complicated systems and make them feel obvious. You'll design for dispatchers, project managers, and contractors who don't have time to figure out software. Your job is to make sure they never have to.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own end-to-end design for complex product surfaces — from untangling a workflow all the way through to a polished, production-ready UI
- Map systems before you design them — understand how data, roles, and states interact before picking up a design tool
- Design AI-powered features that feel useful, not experimental — surfaces where intelligence shows up at the right moment, not everywhere

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Systems Thinking
- Ability to map complex workflows before starting the design.
- Understand how data, roles, permissions, and states interact across the product.
- Identify downstream impacts when simplifying a specific workflow or screen.
Simplification
- Ability to turn complex, multi-step workflows into simple and intuitive user experiences.
- Strong information architecture and interaction design skills.
- Design products that users can understand with minimal training.
Building with AI
- Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Cursor, Claude, Figma AI, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
- Uses AI regularly to accelerate ideation, prototyping, research, and exploration.
- Comfortable experimenting with AI-assisted design and development workflows.
Designing for AI
- Experience designing AI-powered or AI-assisted product experiences.
- Understands AI-specific UX patterns such as confidence levels, recommendations, fallback states, transparency, and user control.
- Knows when AI should assist the user and when the user should remain in control.
Craft
- Strong attention to detail across visual design, typography, spacing, interaction, and motion.
- Creates polished, consistent, and production-ready designs.
- Balances visual quality with usability and functionality.
Communication
- Clearly communicate design decisions and rationale to Product and Engineering teams.
- Comfortable collaborating closely with engineers throughout implementation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas simply.
Customer Obsession
- Comfortable conducting customer interviews, usability sessions, and product discovery.
- Uses customer feedback and real-world workflows as key inputs to design decisions.
- Proactively seeks customer insights rather than relying only on internal assumptions.
Ownership
- Takes end-to-end ownership of design problems from discovery through implementation.
- Comfortable working beyond traditional design boundaries when required.
- Willing to contribute to UX writing, product specifications, design documentation, customer calls, and cross-functional initiatives.
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or UI Design.
- Experience designing B2B SaaS, enterprise, or workflow-based products.
