This is a hybrid role, with a minimum expectation of two days per week in our Seattle office, on Mondays and Thursdays.

Our Product Design team is a vibrant ensemble of customer advocates, product designers, and user researchers working together on a global scale. We are dedicated to enhancing connections between pet parents and pet service providers. Our mission extends to developing sophisticated solutions that tackle diverse challenges with the booking experience, cross-platform communication, personalized scheduling, secure payments, and building trust and ensuring safety in the marketplace. Our team plays a crucial role in elevating the marketplace experience across web, iOS, and Android platforms, significantly impacting the end-to-end customer journey.
Who we are looking for:
Rover is looking for a Sr. Product Designer for the Price Experience team. The team’s mission is to ensure that care providers on Rover have the tools to set their own prices with confidence and grow their business, and that pet parents are able to find competitively priced pet care options on our marketplace.
This role touches nearly every part of the Rover experience, working across the design org rather than within a single, siloed team. You'll partner closely with Data Analytics and Marketplace teams on features that affect owners, sitters, and the marketplace as a whole, and you'll need to be a strong communicator and coordinator to keep your work aligned with the many other teams whose scope you'll touch.
You will apply your keen eye for detail and solid understanding of user-centered design principles, numeracy, and comprehension to craft compelling experiences. Utilizing data, you will rigorously evaluate, test, and refine theories, designs, and behavioral triggers, ensuring they meet high standards of usability and engagement.
As a senior member of the team, you will serve as a subject-matter expert and advocate for the customer during the exploration, planning, and implementation of user-centered features. You will have ownership over the design process, ensuring that experiences are rooted in trust and feature high-quality visual aesthetics. You will maintain a consistent look and feel across all devices, aligning with strategic design objectives, our design system, and specific product requirements.
You should have extensive experience in product design, with a robust portfolio demonstrating proficiency in creating user-centered design solutions across various platforms. You will need to handle multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including teams outside your immediate pod. A proven track record of impactful design implementations that drove improvements in user experience and business outcomes is essential.
Rover is also in the midst of transitioning to an AI-native product development lifecycle, so a genuine curiosity about and comfort with AI tools is important for this role.
