Senior Project Engineer - FIFO - NORTHERN TERRITORY

We are seeking a FIFO Senior Project Engineer to start ASAP for a Project in the Northern Territory.  

 

Job Description

This Oil and Gas construction project is located in a remote part of the Northern Territory. You will be working 11-hour days and  be working a 3+1 roster.  You will need to bring with you a solutions focused mind set and have the ability to deliver the following responsibilities:

• Deliver engineering and technical support to project teams to facilitate effective delivery of projects.
• Review drawings and specifications and execute the scope of work in accordance with these.
• Prepare MTO’s and RFQ packs for material procurement and subcontractor engagement.
• Review and understand project budgets and schedules and assist with identifying project variations.
• Oversee project deliverables for site execution including ITP’s, ITR’s and work packs.
• Assist with development of technical documentation, execution methodologies and schedules.
• Liaise with client representatives on project commitments and assist resolving technical queries.
• Work in accordance with the Company’s Core Values.
• Lead projects from award through to close out.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation and deliverables

Qualifications

• Engineering background, Tertiary Degree qualified in Australia University or international recognized equivalent. Mechanical preferred but role experience in other disciplines considered.
• Oil & Gas industry experience preferable
• Practical field experience
• Site experience on a construction site previously highly regarded
• Experience in subcontractor management
• Demonstrated comprehensive skill, knowledge, and experience of compressor station SMP construction.
• White Card
• Reciprocating compressor construction and assembly experience highly regarded including:
  • Mechanical installation of pipe rack modules
  • Mechanical installation and alignment of rotating equipment
  • Flange closure, NDT, hydrotesting works and documentation
  • B31.3 piping code for site installation and fabrication
  • Installation of tanks and facilities
