Senior Project Manager (IT)

Direct the full lifecycle of technology projects, from initial discovery and planning through implementation and post-launch support. Partner with business stakeholders to assess operational needs and convert them into well-defined functional and technical requirements. Develop system designs and solution approaches that support business objectives, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability. Coordinate integrations between internal applications and external digital platforms, including government authentication and shared services. Organise user acceptance testing activities, resolve identified issues, and confirm that solutions meet agreed business and quality standards. Guide project team members by providing technical direction, coaching, and support throughout delivery. Evaluate system performance and initiate improvements that strengthen reliability, security, efficiency, and scalability. Produce and maintain project documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, system designs, test plans, and implementation records. Oversee vendors and system integrators to ensure deliverables are completed within the agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. Explore emerging technologies and industry practices to identify opportunities for process improvement and digital innovation. Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline; relevant professional certifications would be advantageous. At least five years of experience in systems analysis, IT project delivery, or a related area, preferably within a large enterprise or public-sector environment. Proven experience delivering complete project lifecycles, including requirements gathering, solution development, deployment, and post-implementation support. Strong technical knowledge of Java, JavaScript, React, SQL, web development, object-oriented programming, and waterfall, Agile, or hybrid SDLC methodologies.
