Location: Remote (UK) with occasional travel to site in London
Type: Full-time, Permanent or freelance

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and support the successful delivery of a high-rise residential development in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused professional who can take ownership of project finances, manage contractual matters, and provide strategic commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full commercial responsibility for assigned projects from procurement through to final account.

• Manage subcontract procurement, tender evaluations, and contract awards.

• Prepare, review, and negotiate subcontract agreements and variations.

• Monitor project costs, cash flow, forecasts, and budgets to ensure financial targets are achieved.

• Prepare and submit valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.

• Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.

• Assess and agree variations, compensation events, and change control processes.

• Produce accurate commercial reports and cost forecasts for senior management.

• Manage subcontractor accounts, including payments, claims, and dispute resolution.

• Work closely with project delivery teams to provide commercial guidance and maximise project profitability.

• Support junior commercial team members through mentoring and guidance where required.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within the construction sector.

• Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, including experience administering standard forms of contract (JCT and/or NEC).

• Demonstrable experience delivering high-rise residential construction projects.

• Excellent cost management, forecasting, and financial reporting skills.

• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
