What you'll do

  • Drive Flex Architecture: Drive the full lifecycle of flex interconnect systems across product generations, from early-stage conceptualization through verification, qualification, and high-volume manufacturing.
  • RF & Mechanical Optimization: Maintain high signal integrity and RF performance while ensuring long-term mechanical reliability, durability, and thermal performance.
  • Vendor Management: Work directly with external partners and suppliers to push the boundaries of flex design and manufacturing capabilities. Translate complex RF, mechanical, and system-level specs into unambiguous technical requirements for vendors, secure clear partner commitments.
  • Timeline Execution: Ownership of supplier development schedules, ensuring critical components are delivered on time without compromising quality or yield. Drive internal project execution, setting schedule milestones, tracking deliverables, and keeping the team accountable to QuantWare's roadmap.
  • Direct Line Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow an engineering team dedicated to flex interconnect development and RF integration.

What they're looking for

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in RF engineering, signal integrity, or high-frequency interconnect design (e.g., flex circuits, rigid-flex, micro-coaxial interfaces). Deep hands-on experience with standard RF simulation software (HFSS, CST, ADS, or equivalent) and RF measurement equipment (VNAs, Spectrum Analysers, TDR).
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success leading hardware or R&D engineering projects from initial concept through verification to volume production.
  • Vendor Co-Development: Direct experience managing external vendors, JDM partners, or component suppliers to deliver complex custom electro-mechanical parts.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Exceptional communication and alignment skills, ability to direct and influence multi-disciplinary teams without formal direct-report authority.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing hardware for superconducting circuits and cryogenic environments is a bonus.

About Us

QuantWare is building the world’s most powerful quantum processors to solve humanity's greatest challenges. We do this with our unique VIO™ technology, the only QPU architecture that breaks the hardware barriers that have held quantum computing back, unlocking the path to MegaQubit quantum processors.

With VIO, we are paving the way for the hyper-scale quantum computers that will change the world. And delivering on that vision demands people who don’t shy away from tackling the hardest challenges of our time. That’s where you come in!

As the Senior RF engineer, you will take full ownership of the end-to-end design, verification, and scaling of our critical flex cable interface, a foundational hardware component of our core VIO technology. In this pivotal role, you will bridge cutting-edge RF engineering with hands-on project management. Because this technology relies heavily on strategic vendor partnerships, you will serve as the primary technical interface driving co-innovation, setting rigorous specifications, and managing deliverable timelines. You will lead cross-functional engineering efforts to balance high-frequency RF performance, mechanical reliability, and high-volume manufacturability to support our R&D roadmap.

Don't tick every box? Apply anyway! Research shows women often self-select out if they don't meet every requirement. Here's our take: nobody ticks every box. This is a description of our ideal candidate, not a filter. If most resonates and you're keen to learn the gaps, apply. We hire for trajectory, not perfection.
