Senior Scientist – Cell Culture/FLOW

Position:

Shift: Full-Time; Monday – Friday; 8am-5pm EST

ONSITE:

This is a fully onsite role based at our customer’s site in (Boston, MA). We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Please note that relocation assistance is not provided for this position, and any relocation costs will be the responsibility of the candidate.

Our Laboratories Functional Service Partnership (FSP) team plays a direct role in advancing drug development by creating sustained groups of talent within our customers’ organizations to provide long-term support. Key responsibilities:

• Design, execute, troubleshoot, optimize, and interpret analytical method development experiments with a high degree of reliability and independence to characterize cellular function and interactions.
• Perform cell culture, image-based colony assessment, flow cytometry, ELISpot, and other associated laboratory procedures with a high standard of technical rigor.
• Design and conduct experiments to evaluate assay performance characteristics, including accuracy, precision, linearity, sensitivity, and technology comparisons.
• Analyze and interpret data using GraphPad Prism, JMP, FlowJo, StemVision, and related tools to support assay development, process characterization, and technology evaluation.
• Identify trends in experimental results, troubleshoot assay performance issues, and recommend improvements to analytical methods and workflows.
• Organize, analyze, and summarize data for project updates, technical reports, study summaries, and internal presentations.
• Author and review protocols, SOPs, technical reports, study documentation, and regulatory support documents.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with partners in analytical development, process development, research, and other teams to support analytical strategy and project goals.
• Maintain laboratory organization, instrument readiness, reagent inventory, and compliance with documentation and laboratory best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry, Biochemistry, Material Science, Immunology, Biology, Molecular Biology or similar
• Sr. Scientist: Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 4+ years’)
• OR Masters degree and previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2+ years’)
• OR PhD

In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Expert in aseptic cell culture technique
• Significant experience culture stem cells and immune cells
• Colony Forming Unit assay
• Multi-color (5+) flow cytometry including instrument maintenance (familiarity with BD and Miltenyi systems preferred)
• ELISpot
• Hands-on experience with automated single-cell dispensers
• Statistical analysis and data visualization using GraphPad Prism
• Manual and automated (StemVision) colony identification
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Highly organized with inventory management experience
• Strong experimental design, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality scientific documentation

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $90,000.00–$95,100.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
