  • Assist in analyzing RFI/RFP requirements and identifying initial technical approaches to translate customer mission needs, pain points, and modernization priorities into integrated, compliant, differentiated, and executable solutions.

Position Summary

The Enterprise Solutions Architect (ESA) will be part of the DSA Technology & Innovation Office, and work closely with the broader capture/proposal teams to support technical solution development for Defense, Intelligence Community (IC) and Federal Civilian opportunities. This role blends early‑stage solutions analysis (e.g., end-to-end opportunity shaping) , technical writing, requirements interpretation, and the creation of technical artifacts.

 

The ESA will develop foundational skills in solution architecture, including cloud, cybersecurity, enterprise IT, C5ISR, and AI to support DSA’s strategic growth. Over time, the incumbent will progress into a senior‑level Solutions Architect role with ownership of solution concepts and proposal activities.

Key Responsibilities

Solutions Support

  • Assist in analyzing RFI/RFP requirements and identifying initial technical approaches to translate customer mission needs, pain points, and modernization priorities into integrated, compliant, differentiated, and executable solutions.
  • Help develop early solution sketches, concepts of operation, and architecture outlines.
  • Research DoD, IC, and Federal Civilian technologies, mission needs, and modernization priorities.
  • Support development of compliant, compelling solutions under the guidance of senior architects, to include connecting requirements to solution elements, responsible performers, artifacts, evidence, benefits, risks, assumptions, and discriminators

 Technical Writing & Documentation

Produce clear, well-structured technical content, including:

  • Draft technical proposal sections
  • System descriptions and approach narratives
  • Technical white papers and capability briefs
  • Process flows, operational concepts, and supporting diagrams.
  • Translate complex technical ideas into accessible language for evaluators and customers.

Proposal & Capture Support

  • Draft and refine technical sections for proposals, RFIs, and white papers.
  • Participate in solutioning sessions, color team reviews, and requirement analysis workshops.
  • Transform multidisciplinary SME input into a coherent, persuasive, evaluator-focused solution narrative.
  • Assist in identifying win themes and articulating value propositions tied to customer mission outcomes.
  • Managing solutioning meetings with SMEs from DSA business units and partners

Architecture Artifact Development

  • Support creation of architecture diagrams, workflow charts, and solution models.
  • Help maintain technical libraries, templates, and reusable solution assets.
  • Document LCNC automation flows, AI-enabled solution concepts, and data-driven approaches.
  • Apply relevant federal and Department of Defense (DoD) architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, interoperability, data, and engineering guidance based on the opportunity.
  • Support the lifecycle management of DSA's productized solution offerings (e.g., AgileOps), including documentation standards, versioning, and update governance, applying a product/service lifecycle approach consistent with ITIL (Version 5).

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work with SMEs in engineering, cyber, logistics, IT, and sustainment to validate technical accuracy.
  • Coordinate with capture managers to produce early opportunity artifacts and technical positioning and solutioning.
  • Ensure solutions align with DoD architecture frameworks (e.g., DoDAF, cArmy/ECMA, PlatformOne, Cloud One).

Required Qualifications

The posted salary range is a good-faith estimate. Actual compensation will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and other job-related factors.
 

DSA - Salary Pay Range
$175,000—$225,000 USD
