About this role

This position is mainly responsible for plant Facilities and Equipment sourcing in the AP. The role entails providing plan direction for AP procurement with Functional stakeholders and the Procurement team across AP to drive strategy implementation. Additionally, it involves coordinating with Engineering and plant Operations Teams, developing procurement plan for each type and category, and facilitating the make or buy process.

Key Responsibilities 
•    Work directly with key internal stakeholders to develop and implement sourcing and cost management plan that support capital project.
•    Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and capability criteria.
•    Negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
•    Creating and implementing standard tendering documentation such as Invitation to Bid, Pre-Q, BOQ, SOW, TBE/CBE evaluation, and MOC/CR process. Identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers/vendors based on quality, cost, reliability, and capability criteria.
•    Perform project control tasks such as project budgeting and scheduling.
•    Contract management & negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
•    Work closely with Regional and global capital teams.
•    Establishing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement performance and drive continuous improvement.
•    Managing supplier relationships, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
•    Monitoring market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for innovation and cost reduction.

Qualifications
•    Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
•    At least 10 years’ working experience in procurement sourcing with focus on Facility and Equipment Management; capital/ Capex project role or related roles, experience in chemical manufacturing will be preferred.
•    Strong negotiation skills, effective relationship building, and analytical abilities.
•    Strategic thinking that complements the broader business strategy in the region. 
•    Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
•    Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in procurement.
•    Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPM) is a plus.
•    Effective presentation and communication skills.
