What you'll do

  • Perform rough-cut capacity planning (in conjunction with Server, Network, and Component management) and supply smoothing to define the Supply Plan of Record, translating this into long-term (1-4 years) supply plans for Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 Suppliers.
  • Provide clear reporting insights and analytics on demand forecast accuracy, volatility, and execution to the Supply Plan of Record, working with Capacity Planning and Operations teams to identify root causes and implement solutions to mitigate issues.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain and Capacity Planning teams on the timing and availability of product transitions to plan for platform end of life (minimizing E&O inventory) and ramp up of new platforms.
  • Define inventory buffer targets (in collaboration with Component Planning) and strategies based on historical usage and forecast, articulating financial risks/liabilities associated with said buffers.
  • Perform scenario analysis to understand the impact of component shortages, demand upside/downside, etc., on the Supply Plan of Record.
  • Partner with systems engineering teams to develop a supply planning automation roadmap to support increasing scale and complexity.
  • Measure supply planning inputs, drive demand plan accountability, and set supportability expectations with capacity planning teams.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with Capacity Planning, Server and Component Planning, Finance, and Systems Engineering teams.
  • Use industry intelligence and long-range demand projections to demonstrate market share status and the business impact of anticipated growth.

Supply Planning IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
