Job Description Summary:
Faegre Drinker has an opportunity for a Senior Talent Systems Analyst based in our Chicago office. As part of the Talent team, you will partner closely with functional and business stakeholders across departments to implement new solutions and optimize business processes while ensuring overall functionality and integrity of the firm’s Talent Systems. This position will collaborate with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interests of our clients.Job Description:
What you would do:
- Act as the technical expert regarding how various systems operate and provide functional support for System configuration in Workday HCM, Benefits, Compensation, Advanced Compensation, Absence, Security, Talent, and Recruiting, Time Tracking and Payroll.
- Configures and tests system business processes for complex projects, enhancements, and upgrades.
- Lead the system configuration and maintenance of annual Workday processes including Benefits Open Enrollment, Compensation and Bonus programs in Advanced Compensation and Annual Performance Review Processes
- Manage vendor system integrations, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Configures and tests viEval and viRecruit systems regarding enhancements and upgrades; also provides guidance to interface managers regarding building out internal content, etc.
- Maintains system documentation (processes, procedures, etc.)
- Analyzes service trends, identifies opportunities for improvement, and recommends solutions.
- Performs troubleshooting and completes root-cause analysis and provides general Talent Systems support including Workday, viEval and viRecruit.
- Create, edit, and configure reports for all functional areas. Schedule reports to system users as needed.
- Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned.

The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $122,500 – $136,900.
Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled, in all cases consistent with applicable law. This is an exempt role and the initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for professional staff, which includes, but is not limited to, a discretionary bonus; life, health, accident, and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
What is required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of seven years of relevant experience with at least five years of relevant experience specializing in HR system management.
- Experience working within the Workday platform is required; Workday certification a plus
- Demonstrated experience with creating diverse, often complicated, ad hoc reports.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and communicate findings.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including macros and logic functions) as well as strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent customer service skill set.
