Senior Technical Program Manager, GCBP

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

We act as the connective tissue, collaborating closely with Engineering, Product Managers, UX and Business teams to ensure seamless execution and deliver innovative, high-impact cloud solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead highly ambiguous, large-scale programs from inception to launch. Define strategic roadmaps, align cross-functional stakeholders, and mitigate systemic risks.
• Lead our operational modernization by identifying, evaluating, and scaling advanced AI tools. Lead the implementation of these critical efficiencies across the SDLC to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Design and deploy intelligent, frictionless workflows that accelerate time-to-market, allowing our engineering partners to focus entirely on innovation.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to senior technical leadership. Mentor junior team members and set the standard for execution, driving our mission to build a robust operational foundation.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 8 years of experience in program management.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience in identifying program bottlenecks and implementing effective mitigation strategies before delivery is impacted and in running Agile rituals, sprint planning, and road map execution to maintain team velocity.
• Ability to translate complex technical details into clear, strategic updates for executive leadership.
• Ability to engage in architectural trade-offs and engineering discussions.
• Ability to align cross-functional teams and build consensus across conflicting priorities.
• Ability to manage the execution of complex, cross-functional engineering initiatives.
