This is an ONSITE position based out of our National Business Park, Maryland location.

What You Will Do:

• Design and develop modern, responsive user interfaces for mission-critical applications using JavaScript frameworks and libraries
• Build scalable, RESTful backend services using Spring Boot to support dynamic front-end applications
• Create seamless integration between front-end components and Spring Boot microservices, ensuring optimal performance and user experience
• Develop reusable UI components and establish design patterns that promote consistency across multiple applications
• Optimize application performance, focusing on load times, rendering efficiency, and responsive design across various devices and browsers
• Collaborate with UX designers, software engineers, and mission stakeholders to translate complex requirements into elegant, user-friendly interfaces
• Implement secure coding practices and ensure applications meet stringent security standards for classified environments
• Work with RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time data streaming to deliver dynamic, data-driven user experiences
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and mentor junior developers
• Ensure adherence to agile development practices and configuration management standards using modern DevSecOps tools and workflows

Qualifications You Must Have:

• A STEM degree (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in UI/front-end development
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot for building RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
• Proven experience integrating front-end applications with Spring Boot backends
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and mobile-first development
• Familiarity with build tools and bundlers (e.g., Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn)
• Knowledge of version control using Git and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and user experience
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for innovation and collaboration
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph
• U.S. citizenship is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience with TypeScript for type-safe JavaScript development
• Familiarity with containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and deploying Spring Boot applications in cloud-native architectures
• Knowledge of Spring Security and OAuth 2.0 for implementing secure authentication and authorization
• Experience with real-time communication technologies (e.g., WebSockets, Server-Sent Events)
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Cypress, JUnit, Mockito)
• Previous experience developing applications in classified or secure environments
• Knowledge of Java and Spring ecosystem beyond Spring Boot (e.g., Spring Cloud, Spring Data)

Salary & Benefits

The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
